1. The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Emergency Locust Response Project (ELRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract ^[1]for Procurement for Supply and Installation of Dedicated Server for Hosting Desert Locust System and Data and 3 KVA Rack Mountable UPS to protect server from Power fluctuations^[2].
2. The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Installation of Dedicated Server for Hosting Desert Locust System and Data and One 3 KVA Rack Mountable UPS to protect server from Power fluctuations.
3. Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Request for Bids-INFORMATION SYSTEMS-June-2021 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from IGAD Climate Prediction and Application Centre (ICPAC), www.icpac.net / www.igad.int
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 16 December 2024 at 11.00am East African Time. Electronic submission will not be allowed. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address   16 December 2024 at 11.15am  
6. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 1,000 US Dollars (USD 1,000.00)

Substitute “contracts” where Bids are called concurrently for multiple contracts. Add a new para. 3 and renumber paras 3 – 8 as follows: “Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.”

Insert if applicable: “This contract will be jointly financed by [insert name of co-financing agency]. Procurement process will be governed by the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations.”
