IGAD Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development (ICPALD) has received funding from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) on Sustainable Ecosystem Management (SEM) for pastoralism in cross-border areas of the IGAD region. The project is being implemented in the crossborder areas of Kapoeta East County (South Sudan)- Kaabong District (Uganda) and Benishangul-Gumuz Region (Ethiopia)- Blue Nile State (Sudan) which correspond to the shared ecosystem and transhumance routes.
It is intended that part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for Supply of Apiary and its Accessories – Akendeyu, Kurmuk Woreda, Benishangul-Gumuz Region in Ethiopia.

1. The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD project now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply of Farm Implements for South Sudan.
2. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding ( OCB) procedures as specified in the IGAD’s Procurement Manual Revised 2021 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Manual .
3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document during office hours at the address given below from Monday to Friday at 800HRS to 1500HRS EAT.
4. The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent via email to icpald@igad.int and cc beverlyne.nyanchera@igad.int .

At 4.30pm, on, Wednesday 11 of September 2024. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of an unconditional bank guarantee or certified cheque using the format provided in the bidding documents or similar format acceptable to the employer.

7. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
