The Executive Secretary of IGAD was among thousands of Kenyans who attended the status hearing of the ICC case facing the President of Kenya H. E. Uhuru Kenyatta at the Hague Netherlands. The ES attended in his capacity as the Executive Secretary of IGAD to join others in solidarity and moral support of IGAD Member states to the rapporteuer of the IGAD Summit. He also gave a number of interviews with international media houses where he stressed the role played by Kenya in fighting the international crime of terrorism urging that for the fight to be effective the President of Kenya ought to be free to concentrate on important national and international issues for the benefit of the region and Africa as a whole.
