The Executive Secretary of IGAD, Ambassador Mahboub Maalim, received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Kenya to Ethiopia and Djibouti, H.E. Catherine Mwangi, who is also her country’s permanent representative to IGAD.

The Executive Secretary briefed the ambassador on the work of the IGAD and the Committee of Ambassadors in particular and discussed Kenya’s role in the region.

Ambassador, Catherine Mwangi congratulated the Executive Secretary and IGAD for the work the organization. The ambassador pledged to work closely to achieve its goals in the region.
