The Intergovernmental Agency on Development (IGAD) has received  financing from the African Development Bank Group  toward the cost of the  Drought Resilience and Sustainable Livelihoods Program (DRSLP) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant  to payments under the contract for recruitement of consulting firm to undertake assessment of the Drought Impact and IDDRSI Investment-Regional Studies 

The services included under this assignment is to document the social, economic and environmental impact of the 2016/17 drought on livestock economy of selected IGAD MSs; and evaluate whether the investments through IDDRSI realized expected outcome in the affected areas and assess its contribution in moderating drought disaster. The duration of the contract is 4 months.

The Intergovernmental Authority on Development ( IGAD) now invites eligible consultants (firms)   to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff,  etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification. 

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants ”  (dated May 2008, revised July 2012) , which is available on the Bank’s website at https://www.afdb.org.  Receipent  of the Grant (IGAD)  is  under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.
