The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Gender Affairs Programme with support from the Government of Japan invites submissions for the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Evidence Hub Initiative.
This initiative aims to document, validate, and amplify the tangible contributions of women and youth-led peace initiatives that are actively advancing the WPS and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agendas in the IGAD region.
Who Can Submit
We welcome entries from:
- Peacebuilders: Women and youth leaders/participants in local or cross-border peace initiatives.
- Academics and Practitioners: Researchers and practitioners focused on gender and peacebuilding.
- Civil Society: Organizations and networks implementing WPS-related projects.
- Media and Storytellers: Professionals documenting women’s and youth leadership in peace processes.
What to Submit
Submissions must be concise and focus on documenting verifiable evidence related to Woment Peace and Security (WPS) or Youth Peace and Security (YPS) themes. Choose one of the following areas of interests:
1. Evidence story idea about peacebuilding work, highlighting results, lessons, or innovations.
2. A research thematic brief or case study summary (maximum 3 pages) linked to WPS or YPS themes.
3. Digital content link and context of Multimedia documentation (documentary, short video, audio story, or photo essay) showing women or youth in peace action.
Key Information
- Deadline: Wednesday November 12th, 2025.
- Notification: If you have not heard from us by November 22nd, your submission was not successful.
- Workshop: Selected submissions will be invited to a four-day regional meeting December 9th – 12th, 2025, to refine their work for publishin on the IGAD WPS Evidence Hub.
