Seminar for Professionals and Other Stakeholders on Developing Sustainable Tourism Master Plans: Key Steps and Approaches 19th-21st June 2012, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in collaboration with the  United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Sub-Region Office for East Africa UNECA SRO-EA  are hosting a seminar targeting tourism professionals and other relevant stakeholders on key steps and approaches to developing sustainable tourism master plans. The main goal of the seminar is to share best practice experiences on the development and implementation of sustainable tourism master plans
amongst the IGAD member states with a view to enhancing the role of the tourism industry in economic development and poverty reduction in the region. The seminar will also serve as a consultative forum through which delegates will deliberate on pertinent issues pertaining to their respective member states and in so doing provide in-depth and rich information for on-going process of the IGAD Sustainable Tourism Master Plan initiative.
