The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is a Regional Economic Community (REC) of the African Union. Member countries include Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda. IGAD’s mission is “to assist and complement the efforts of the member countries through increased cooperation to achieve food security and environmental protection; promotion and maintenance of peace and security and humanitarian affairs; and economic cooperation and integration”. IGAD’s activities consist mainly of policy support, information and knowledge sharing, capacity development and research, and promoting the uptake of science and technology.

The new Headquarters will be constructed to satisfy all standards for accessibility, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness. Design of the building considers the configuration of the building and ensures it incorporates multiple sustainable features that are environmentally friendly.

IGAD invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from contractors interested in being preregistered to tender for the construction of its headquarters in Djibouti, the Republic of Djibouti.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance IGAD procurement regulations.

The consultants should submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to: procurement@igad.int with not later than 17th January, 2022 at 23:59 Hrs. EAT (GMT+3).
