October 24,2023 (JUBA, South Sudan): The Regional Ad hoc oversight committee for the Global Fund-IGAD TB grants in the refugee settings convened its 7th regular meeting, in Juba, South Sudan.
The meeting was opened by Dr Jane Alphonse, chair of Country Coordinating Mechanism, South Sudan and current chair of the regional adhoc Oversight committee.
The Principal recipient (IGAD) and the three Sub recipients (UNHCR, RRS &KRCS) presented the 1 April 202-31 March 2023 performance of the grant and the 1 April 2023 to 30 September 2023 progress of the grant respectively and discussed in detail in the meeting.
The programmatic performance was 98% with fund absorption of 87%. The meeting was concluded successfully and recommended that the National TB program managers to participate in such meeting and work together to address stock out of TB commodities in some of the refugee camps.
