IGAD Executive Secretary, Eng. Mahboub Maalim, received Ethiopia’s appointed special envoy to the Sudan peace process, Mr. Lissane Yohanness. The Executive Secretary discussed with Mr. Yohanness about his appointment and facilitations needed to carry on his duties. In a decision of the 12th Ordinary Summit of Heads of States and Government of IGAD Member Countries, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Kenya, were to appoint Special Envoys to represent the region in the Assessment and Evaluation Commission (AEC) of the CPA implementation.
