I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the government and people of the Republic of Uganda on the occasion of their 58th Independence Day.
As a founding member of IGAD, Uganda plays a leading role in making our region peaceful and prosperous.
In these challenging times, Uganda has shown resilience and the power of unity in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
