March 3, 2023, (ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia): The IGAD Head of Mission to Ethiopia Commander Abebe Muluneh handed over this morning eight laptops to the Ministry of Agriculture, which took place in the premises of the Ministry, in the presence of H.E Dr. Fikru Regassa, State Minister, MoA.
As the Ministry of Agriculture is the Chair of the National Experts Panel Platform, the Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Affairs, Mr. Zena H/Wold received the laptops on behalf of the 8 sectorial ministries which will be distributed to the NEP-Monitoring and Evaluation Platform members of different sectors. The selected platform members were also attending the event.
The handover ceremony was facilitated by Dr. Edmealem Shitaye, National IDDRSI Coordinator, who underscored that the objective of the initiative is aimed at strengthening the IDDRSI/CPP (Country Programming Paper) Monitoring and Evaluation system (CPP-M & E) in Ethiopia for the proper resilience program data management and Monitoring and Evaluation system in the ASAL areas.
The Institutional Strengthening and Coordination of IDDRSI initiative is supported by the Swedish Government. The National Experts Panel (NEP) exists in all IGAD Member States, while in Ethiopia, the platform was established in 2020, and is composed of 13 sectorial ministries/institutions.
