June 18, 2023 (DJIBOUTI, Djibouti): Intergovernmental Authority on Development Condemns Terrorist Attack at Lhubirira Secondary School in Kasese District, Uganda.
The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, strongly condemns the cowardly and senseless terrorist attack that occurred at Lhubirira Secondary School in Kasese District, Uganda.
Dr. Gebeyehu extends heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims who tragically lost their lives in this heinous act. He also wishes a swift and full recovery to those who sustained injuries during the attack.
During this challenging time, IGAD stands in solidarity with the Government of Uganda and its people. Dr. Gebeyehu assures them of the organization’s unwavering support and commitment to working together in combating terrorism and promoting peace and security in the region.
