(IGAD – Djibouti) The president of the Republic of Djibouti, Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh received the Executive Secretary of IGAD, Eng. Mahboub Maalim. The parties discussed about the economic and security issues of the region, and the Somali peace process in particular.

 

An extra ordinary meeting between IGAD member states and the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia will take place in Narobi, Kenya later this month.

The Executive Secretary thanked the president and the government of Djibouti for their ongoing support of the secretariat.
