The Executive Secretary of IGAD, Eng. Mahboub Maalim, received in his office Mr Ashraf El Nour, the regional representative of the IOM. The officials discussed a ways to enhence cooperation between IGAD and IOM in a joint programme implementation and ongoing partnership program in the IGAD region.

The Executive Secretary emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration and dialogue in program implementation between the two organizations especially more so for the IGAD Secretariat, where migration and livestock are among the key issues in the region.
