The workshop, was officially opened by H.E Cherugeta Genene, the State Minister of Peace and additional remarks were made Division’s Director Hon. Siraj Fegessa who lauded this initiative as a vital step towards peacebuilding. This important event was attended by officials and experts from various states of Ethiopia, the team of experts who developed the manual, and other stakeholders. Th an official launch, presentations on the manual’s main topics, and detailed guidance on implementing the manual in different contexts.
The event not only highlighted the manual as a significant tool for intervention at various levels but also underscored IGAD’s commitment to peace and security through capacity building and stakeholder engagement.
