June 19-21 2024, in Adama, Ethiopia, the Peace and Security Division successfully concludes the Youth, Peace, and Security Training Workshop on Conflict Prevention, Management, and Resolution (CPMR). This is the third Capacity Building Training Workshop on Youth, Peace, and Security, and the first of two planned for this year, took place from.

The primary objective of the 3-day workshop was to enhance the knowledge and skills of youth leaders in conflict prevention, management, and resolution (CPMR). This training aimed to equip participants with practical tools and concepts necessary for effective peacebuilding and conflict transformation in their respective communities.

The workshop brought together 25 youth leaders from various IGAD member states representing diverse backgrounds and experiences. They engaged in interactive sessions, group work, and plenary discussions. At the end of the workshop of the theparticipants were able to understand the fundamental concepts of conflict prevention, management, and resolution, to utilize practical conflict analysis tools, and apply CPMR principles and tools to real-world scenarios.

This workshop was funded by the European Union through Africa Peace and Security Architecture Program (APSA) IV Program.
