South Sudan National Consultative Workshop on Global Refugee Forum 2023 and Draft IGAD Policy Framework on Refugee Protection

IGAD is supporting the Government of Sudan in convening a national consultative workshop on the preparations for the December 2023 Global Refugee Forum (GRF). The Government of South Sudan will at the national consultations to take stock of the achievements, lessons learnt, challenges and best practices on the implementation of the 2019 GRF and concretize on the formulation of new pledges ahead of the December 2023 GRF.

The Government of South Sudan will also use the consultations to review the country chapters on the Draft report on the Status of Refugee Management in the IGAD region and the Draft IGAD Policy Framework on Refugee Protection. The Consultations are organized under the auspices of the IGAD Support Platform on Forced Displacement.
