CONSULTANCY SERVICE ON DRAFTING OF A MODEL NATIONAL MIGRATION POLICY FOR IGAD MEMBER STATES

IGAD has made significant strides in setting up institutional framework for the implementation of the MAP. Such efforts have included the establishment and convening of Regional Consultative Processes (RCPS), Regional Migration Coordination Committees (RMCCs) and Migration Donor Working Group at the regional level as well as National Coordination Mechanism (NCMs) at the Member States’ level. A ministerial sectoral committee on migration has also been established. Internally, IGAD has established a Technical Working Group on Migration (TWGM) to provide a structured, systematic and sustainable platform for coordination amongst all IGAD Units, Programmes and Specialized Institutions with migration related functions.
Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has got budget from Swiss support towards the cost of Consultancy Service on Drafting of a Model National Migration Policy for IGAD Member States.
IGAD invites for a competent individual from qualified and experienced individual consultants to undertake the above mentioned service. The successful individual will be selected in accordance with the provisions set forth in the IGAD Procurement Manual, issued on July 2012, revised and updated on 1st January 2017. A Tender Document will be sent to interested and Short Listed individuals for the service.
