The Italian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mrs. Emanuela Claudia Del Re, has sent message of congratulations to the new IGAD Executive Secretary, Dr. Workneh Gebeyahu.
In her message, the Deputy Minister the importance her country attaches to IGAD role in promoting progress in Horn of Africa.
“I am confident that under your leadership IGAD will be able to combine its commitment in the security sector with a growing focus on development issues, with a view to regional integration,” said H.E. Mrs. Emanuela Claudia Del Re.
Italy is the chair of IGAD Partners Forum.
