IGAD Regional TVET Workshop on Skills Assessment
The IGAD Secretariat under the Strengthening IGAD Migration Policy Implementation (SIMPI) Project is organizing a regional workshop on TVET, to review the results of a study to “assess skills and opportunities for migrants and displaced persons in urban cities in the IGAD region” which was piloted in three cities: Nairobi, Kenya, Mogadishu, Somalia and Juba, South Sudan.
The workshop will be a platform to review and provide more input in a study that is aimed at facilitating recognition of relevant skills and the implementation of the IGAD Free Movement Protocol as well as generate evidence for the IGAD Qualifications Framework and National Qualifications Frameworks.
