Validation of the IGAD Regional Land Monitoring Report and the 12th IGAD Land Governance Program Steering Committee (PSC)
Land monitoring to track progress in implementation of the AU Declaration on Land Issues and Challenges in IGAD Member States.
The regional validation workshop will bring together Directors in Ministries responsible for land, National Land Monitoring Coordinators and Steering Committee Members from all Member States
This will be followed by the 12th Steering Committee members meeting. The workshops will be organized in collaboration with NLMCs and the Ministries responsible for Land.
The main tasks expected will be;
• Presentations of the draft regional land monitoring report (methodology, findings, and recommendations);
• Presentation of the IGAD Land Governance Unit’s progress on implementation activities/financial utilization, results achieved and challenges encountered
• Discussions on the findings and recommendations
• Validation and endorsement of the regional land monitoring report • Build consensus on the way forward and action points
