IGAD Center for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development (ICPALD) conducted a  workshop on Resilience Measurement  Awareness on September 18-19, 2013 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The main objective of the workshop was to  expose key technical staff of the IGAD member states to the resilience analysis model with a view to enable the country team members to share information and gain momentum at the country level.

IGAD Center for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development (ICPALD) conducted the First meeting of North East Africa Livestock Council, (NEALCO) on August 29-30, 2013 in Kampala, Uganda. NEALCO is a regional traders’ association with a mandate to promote, coordinate, share information and advocate for enhanced livestock and livestock products trade within and outside the region.  NEALCO as a private sector institution is also believed to be an engine to spearhead all livestock and meat trade from the region
