Dear Mr. /Ms.:
- IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) has been allocated grant funds (the “Grant”) for the purposes for procurement of the consultancy Consulting Services to Support ICPAC in Developing an East African Forest Fire Information System . No party other than the ICPAC shall derive any rights from the grant agreement or have any claims to the proceeds of the grant.
- The Client now invites proposals to provide the following consulting services (hereinafter called “Services”): Consulting Services to Support ICPAC in Developing an East African Forest Fire Information System.More details on the Services are provided in the Terms of Reference (Section 7).
- It is not permissible to transfer this RFP to any other firm.
- A firm will be selected under Quality and Cost-based Selection procedures and in a Simplified Technical Proposal (STP) format as described in this RFP, in accordance with the Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”July 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), which can be found at the following website: www.worldbank.org

- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful Consultant’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the Request for Proposals.
- Details on the proposal’s submission date, time and address are provided in ITC 17.7 and ITC 17.9.
