Djibouti, 14-11-2015: It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we receive the news of the terrorist attacks in Paris, France on November 13, 2015.

The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) condemns with utmost firmness these barbaric acts and presents its sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims that perished, to the government and the people of France.

"It's on my own behalf and that of IGAD that I express our solidarity with the friendly country of France and also development partner of our organization, and Member States of our institution. I would also like to express my dismay and outrage that so many innocent lives perish away by abject cruelty without name, "said the Executive Secretary of IGAD, Ambassador HE Mahboub Maalim, during the 29th Meeting of the IGAD Committee of Ambassadors this Saturday, November 14th in Djibouti.

The Committee of Ambassadors of IGAD joined the Executive Secretary in condemning these attacks as heinous and cowardly acts against humanity.

H.E Ambassador Mahboub Maalim said that terrorism is a global threat and must be fought by everyone in all parts of the world.###
