The 6th Regional Workshop of the Technical Working Group on Migration Data

The 6th IGAD Migration Data Technical Working Group Workshop aims to improve the availability and quality of migration and displacement statistics within the IGAD region by strengthening national and regional actors in the production and use of migration and displacement statistics.

The four-day workshop brings together key representatives from each IGAD Member State consisting of senior experts responsible for migration data and statistics from National Coordination Mechanisms (NCM), National Statistical Offices (NSOs), Ministry of Labour, Central Banks, Immigration Services and Ministries of Foreign Affairs, in charge of data and Statistics. International and regional organizations will participate, including AUC/STATAFRIC, EAC, COMESA, IOM, ILO, UNECA, IDAC, UNCDF, UNHCR, SCB, SSB, and GIZ.
