CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A REGIONAL REFUGEE ADVISORY FORUM (RAF)

IGAD is convening a meeting with refugee representatives from across IGAD Member States towards the establishment of a Regional Advisory Forum (RAF). This regional consultative meeting will serve as a platform for refugee groups, refugee networks, partners, and other stakeholders to share their experiences and expertise in advancing meaningful refugee participation while supporting the establishment of an advisory forum that ensures refugees are actively involved in decision-making processes.

Organised under the auspices of the IGAD Support Platform on Forced Displacement, refugee engagement is a key priority area of the IGAD Policy Framework on Refugee Protection, which underscores the importance of enhancing meaningful refugee participation in discussions and decision-making processes.
