5th IGAD Migration Data Technical Working Group Workshop

IGAD, in collaboration with its Member States and Partners, is organizing the 5th Regional Technical Working Group Workshop to deliberate and develop strategies to support the harmonization of migration and displacement statistics within the region.

Specific Objectives

1. Deliberate on the Member States’ status of implementation of migration statistics activities.
2. Provide input on the draft IGAD Regional Harmonization Guidelines.
3. Gather input from Member States on the second edition of the migration statistics report.
4. Update and share experiences on migration and displacement data at the continental, regional, and national levels.
5. Discuss the way forward for collecting and managing migration and displacement data in the region.
