The Executive Secretary of IGAD, Amb. (Eng) Mahboub Maalim received credentials from H.E. Ambassador Joseph Silva, the head of the European Delegation to Djibouti, who is also in charge of IGAD.

The officials discussed about the support of the EU to IGAD’s programs and called for greater cooperation.

Ambassador Joseph Silva reiterated the strong relationship between the EU and IGAD. “It will be my duty to enhance the relationship between the European Union and IGAD,” said Ambassador Silva.

The Executive Secretary, through Ambassador Silva, sent his appreciation to the European Union. “We thank the European Union for having found necessary not only to open a fully fledged cooperational delegation in Djibouti but to also accredit you here,” said the Executive Secretary.
