IGAD Security Sector Programme (ISSP) Validation Workshop Meeting was Conducted 4-5 May 2010 at Harmony Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Project document of ISSP has been validated with certain amendments.
The main focus of the workshop was:
- Presentation on the background achievements and challenges of ICPAT by Commandar Abebe Muluneh, Acting Head of ICPAT
- The ISSP Project document presentation by the researcher (Dr. Musambayi Katumanga
- Then plenary discussion on the presentation of the project document by Participants that focused on objectives and purposes of ISSP, objectives and purposes of each result areas and ISSP log frame.
- Finally, ISSP start up including human resources, financial requirements and Operational issues was explained by Mr. Yufnalis Okubo, Acting Director of IGAD Peace and Security Division.
