The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) provides policy and capacity building support to its member states. As part of the Danish Government Support to the Secretariat we are seeking applications from suitable firms to provide consultancy service on ‘The assessment of Adaptive Agricultural Research-Extension/Advisory service and Utilization to enhance the Resilience of Ethiopian Pastoral and Agro-pastoral communities to Drought.’
The specific objectives of the assessment are:
1. To conduct full diagnosis of Dryland Focused Agricultural Technology Generation, Promotion and Utilization in Ethiopia;
2. Document best practice Pastoral and Agro-Pastoral advisory service in Ethiopia and
3. Develop alternative institutional arrangement for Agricultural Service delivery suited to different livelihood contexts in Pastoral and Agro-pastoral communities of Ethiopia
