IGAD Project Cycle Management training is continuing in Addis Ababa for the staff of IGAD programs and specialized institutions. The aim of this training is to build the capacity of the organization in dealing with diverse regional programs and projects and to standardize their formulation, implementation, evaluation and reporting methods.
Organized by the Project Preparation and Management Unit (PPMU).
Within the framework of Finland’s support to institutional strengthening of IGAD and in line with Finland’s development policy, the IGAD PPMU was launched on October 16th, 2011. The new IGAD unit is expected to guide and streamline programs and projects for IGAD.
Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Finland in Ethiopia, Counsellor Mr. Simo-Pekka Parviainen stated that with the Joint Financial Agreement, IGAD partners are trying to make IGAD more dynamic.
