To improve the internal and external communication of the organization, training on Content Management System was convened for the staff of IGAD Secretariat, program offices and specialized intuitions at the Regional Center for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD).
The training is intended to speed up in the collection of information throughout the organization and its Member States and will improve collaboration and dissemination of information.
Welcoming the participants, the Director General of RCMRD, Dr. Hussein Farah, stated that adopting open source technologies to be cost effective and beneficial for IGAD and a step on the right direction.
The IGAD Portal project uses Joomla Content Management System as the framework for its portal and intranet.
Established in 1975, the RCMRD provides Geo-information and allied ICT products and services for its 15 Member States.
